Moulana Banglori's Majalis 9th Moharram 2005

Moulana Banglori's Majalis 9th Moharram 2005
This is an effort to translate into English majalis recited at the jic center in Kissimmee while the majalis is being recited in Urdu. Every effort is made to keep the translation accurate. Please post any errors to the yahoo group jicmajalis.

We have been discussing the sura e juman. In this ayat Allah is stating that He has raised among the residents of medina a prophet. He recites the ayat of Allah and purifies them and teaches them about the book when they were misguided earlier.

Allah has openly stated in this ayat the responsibilites of his prophet. The prophet did not come to rule but to spread the message of Allah. Not to oppress your nafs but to improve it. The most successful person is he who is taking back a nafs identical to that he was born with. While we are close to our deathbed we reflect on
our sins and some of our are satisfied with our actions and other regret that which we did not do. Some regret having made a particular person his friend and others are happy with their choice of friends.

In Karbala the people with iman are collected and in accordance with the sura at the time of asr. Asr means the extract of the day. Allah is stating by asr ie the time when your life is at its end or extracted. At this time men are differentiated by their iman. Did they do good deeds. IF they did so how good were their deeds. In the same row at prayer there are some who are getting their reward equal to the reward of one rakat others that of 700 and some men get such reward that it cannot be counted. This is because Allah is not seeing just the physical actions but also the niyyat and intent.

Were you a sinner when you were born. In shia islam there is no transfer of sin. All accept that all children born are sinless. This is such a great gift of Allah. Hadees of the Prophet states that when a child is born to a mother due to the difficulty of the delivery all the sins of the mother are forgiven. Why does Allah do this? This is because the person being born then Allah does not want him to be born to a sinner. Thus how could the Prophet be born to a sinner? The child is unable to do sin. That is the newborn child is unable to sin. At age two the parents make the child sin by asking them to lie. Thus the parents often do not discuss private things in front of such children. Thus it is evident that the innocent child repeats things without changing them. In a similar fashion masooom repeat things without any change. The masoom who is before us is innocent like the angels. The Prophet states that every child is born with the nature of Islam. We call this child masoom. Thus the fitrat or nature of islaam is masoom. When Imam Ali was struck the death blow by his murderer he yelled by the Allah of Kaaba I have succeeded. That is to say that he has preserved a sinless soul.

In a similar fashion did you ever see a small child get angry. He smiles and as a result of this his parents give him things. If this child is given anything he will eat it even if it is poison.l Thus it is your responsibility not to give the child poison. There are two kinds of poison that for the body and that for the soul. You should not give children haraam food. At age 7 children are able to get angry. At this time you should make him your slave. You should ask the child to bring water for you. Take him out to play in the park. Keep him occupied. Iblis states that if he sees an idle person he reaches out to him. Keep the child busy with learning games etc.
At age 14 the child is an expert. At this time shariat asks you to seek advise from him. Keep this up until he reaches age 21. At age 23 marry him. At this age the child is a man. In woman this is at age 3, and 9. At age 9 she has attained maturity.

The Prophet who has come among us is masoom and he is the prophet of our nafs and has come to fix our intellect so as to extract the treasure from it. There are three types of akhl cunning, stupidity and the moderate point that of wisdom. Momineen have a good IQ if you have observed. It is your responsibility to increase your IQ. It
is recommended to improve your reading speed. In todays day and age people who speed read glance at a page and read it why should you doubt that the Moula E Kayanaat recited the entire Quran in one raaat.

The other thing to remember is to make the child not dull but sharp in his intellect. A poet got down and a man stood up and claimed that the poetry was his. He stepped forward and recited the entire poem. Then a second person stood up and claimed that it was his poetry. The first person accepted that he has a photographic memory and it is possible that he might have heard the poetry

People improve their intellect and they reach a point where by observation they reach certainty. There are some people who reach the point of ain ul yaqeen where Imam Ali had reached. The stage above this is haqq ul haqeen that is feel the flame and state that you believe that the fire is hot. Prophet Ibraheem wanted to reach this stage thus he wanted Allah to show him how dead are raise to life. Imam Ali states that the stage beyond this is where he has no curtains in front of his eyes and he sees the angels. At a stage beyond this Imam Ali where he has complete certainty of the angels that he is seeing an d at this stage he has completely attained iman.

The intellect that is not in the control of the desires. As I was leaving today the FDA had allowed marketing of Vioxx that had been withdrawn and the news commentator was stating that this decision was made under the influence of the drug manufacturers. The donation was just collected and you intellect ask you to pull the purse from
the pocket and then your desires either stop you or stop you from giving. Some give more so that you get more in the hereafter and in some the desires stop you from giving so that there is more left for you in this world. If you try to do a good thing then ghadab or desires stop you from doing this. Ghadab as we discussed yesterday is the emotion that overcomes your rationale.

All the nabi are hakim and our Prophet is the biggest scholar of hikmat and he is also the biggest scholar of the Book. Hikmat is taught by our Prophet as is the knowledge of the book. Thus hikmat can be learnt. Moulana is taught to recite a majalis but to recite the right majalis is hikmat. The book that the Prophet is described in the first ayat. This is the book without any mistake. You have no doubt in this book but what of the christian, the jew and the kaffir. They doubt it. Then what does this first sentence mean. All the people in the universe that have written a book if asked whether their work is flawless state that you could doubt on the contents. If a doctor is asked if he has prescribed the right medicine he would reply that this is in his opinion. Allah is stating that he is the author of the book and he is sending it to us and unlike men he has no doubt in the contents of the book and is sending it for the muttakheen. These are the people who have desires and emotions under control. They believe in the unseen. The things that you perceive with your five senses are called hazir. That which is removed from the hazir is ghaib or unseen. The usool e deen tauheed (Allah) is ghaib, Justice is ghaib, Prophethood (not the Prophet) is unseen,
Imamat is unseen khaimat is unseen. Thus a muttakhi believes in the unseen. They establish prayer and spends that which Allah has given in the way of Allah.

On the day of judgement many people will see rewards of things they have not done. Allah states you had intended to do these good deeds and you get reward for this. Please make a intent to make a imam bargah by next year and this is a continuous reward. I can see the increase in the number of momineen. As the number increases they
become more and more unstoppable.

These people believe that which the other prophets have revealed and that which our prophet has revealed and these are the successful.

Today is the shab e ashur and you are certain that you will return home. Those who came to karbala were not. Karbala is khaimat. On the night of Ashoor Imam Hussian asked permission for one more night from the enemy so that they can spend the night in prayer. This is actually a night for umr e saad to think who is he fighting. When
Abbas went to speak with him he was bribed with the rulership of Ray and he refused. Throughout the night prayers went on. All were discussing how they would stop anyone from attacking Imam Hussain as long as they are alive. In the night Imam Hussain went out and a person (Nafe) followed him to protect him. Imam Hussain stated that I had stopped you but you can come with me. They sat down at one place. Imam Hussain cried there and stated that this the place where Kasim will be trampled to death, at another place Ali Akber will be killed, at another place by the river bank they sat and cried for a long time this is the place where Abbas will be martyred. Nafe
looked elsewhere and stated that there he saw a bibi cry as though she has lost her son. Imam Hussain stated that this was his mother Bibi Fatima.

On the day of ashura Imam Hussain cried all day as he picked up the bodies of his near and dear ones as they were martyred on that day. Imam Hussian stated that he is it martyr who was killed after making him cry. Imam Hussain then went into battle and remembered each and every one of these martyrs and fought. Hussain then stopped and stated is there anyone who will help me is there anyone who hears my complaint. There was crying heard from the tent. Imam Hussian went there and was told that his 6 month old son threw himself out of his cradle.

Imam Hussain took the baby Asghar to ask the oppressors for water. they thought that he was bringing the Quran. But he brought forth the evident Quran Ali Asghar. He asked for water for the baby and put him on the hot sand. Ali Asghar asked for water by moving his tongue over his parched lips. As he did this the army of the enemy started feeling pity. Umr E Saad commanded Hurmula to stop this speech of Hussain. Hurmula aimed for the baby and stopped over and over. He stated that the Prophet came between the arrow and Ali Asghar in his eyes but finally he shot the arrow and killed the baby Ali Asghar.

Imam Hussian picked up the body of Ali Asghar and carried the baby to Bibi Rabaab ----. He went forward 7 times and retreated 7 times and then asked Rabaab to come forward and take your baby. Bibi Sakina rushed forward did you slake the baby's thirst. Rabaab came forward Oh Imam even baby animals are not killed at this young age---
